Thank you Werner!
Can I ask more - why around 1958? What did the Tropen pens look like before that?

Is this black Pelikano supposed to exist?
Does anyone have more info on this pen? It's identical to the first Pelikano (1959-65) but there doesn't seem to be any documentation of a black version.
Hope someone might be able to help.

History of Tropen Scholar?
Could anyone help tell me the years of production for the Tropen Scholar, and what design changes there were? Lambrou mentions that Tropen sold 150,000 Scholar pens a year from 1945-1948, but doesn't say which year the pen was launched or when Tropen stopped production. Recently bought these Tropen ...

Re: Help pls to ID mystery pen
Thanks for your comment! I've since managed to identify it as an Aurea -- http://strangeknight.wordpress.com/2011/04/05/mystery-pen-black-and-burgundy-celluloid-button-filler/ But the pen could have been made by Omas. Apparently Aurea was a small pen company and had their pens made by Montegrappa etc.

Re: New Pelikan products for 2010
Am really looking forward to seeing the M800 Blue 'o Blue in person. The finish looks really interesting!
The Duo is cute. Just a question about the ink -- did Pelikan make it in-house or is it sourced from another manufacturer?

Re: Cologne Pen Show 2010
Wow! Looks like a great show!
How do I find out more about the pen shows in Germany and in Europe? Is there a calendar? Are the shows always fixed during certain months?
