Overview of old Lamy models?
Beginning article
Author: viola

Hello everyone!
Does anyone have overviews of old Lamy models in book form or as web-site?
After the classical entry level of safari > 2000 I got hold of an older model over eBay. The type would interest me as well as other older Lamy models.

Many greetings from Muenster,

Viola

I am also interested in this topic. But as often as I try to google anything worthwhile, I can’t find anything more interesting than this article from 2002: http://www.handelsblatt.com/sowas-kann- ... ;2256263;2
On 02/04/2004 the forum member FFF wrote this about the Lamy 27:
"On the issue of historical interest I was confirmed that Lamy is a future oriented company that has very little information on older models".

It’s really too bad :(
A lot of models, such as the 27e, the impressive pen and the Lamy Lady (that probably owns its name to the fact that it has no clip? Otherwise it is an impressive writing device) do not deserve to be lost and gone forever :|
Greetings from the Saarlaenderin

edit: why do I not get the link to the Handelsblatt-article over Lamy?

I’ll try it this way:

Hello Saarlaenderin (I’m getting used to the name ;) ),
hello everyone.

From my own long standing experience! When you want to insert a link you have to mark it and then click on „URL“, up in the menu.
It’s silly I know. In the other forums it isn’t necessary, but the high qualified IT guys who brought this forum up a few months ago probably had some idea behind it. Or didn’t they?

Nice rest of the weekend
Guenter,
to whom this all is the „camouflage of the devil“.

After math:
In Regina Martinis book „Fountain pens“ (1995), 51 Lamy/Artus writing devices from 1930 onward up to the book publishing, are shown or shortly described with date and how much they were worth then.
It might be a starting point.
Many greetings,

Guenter

My dear Frodo,

Even though I didn’t start the request for more information on Lamy pens, I want to thank you very much for all the information you have given us!
I hope no one misuses it for Internet auctions!

While I’m at it, I don’t want to only thank you, but also our many friends (especially Werner with his private Internet page or Harald from Vienna) who offer their archives and detailed knowledge to all of us!

Many Greetings

Guenter

Hello,

The fundamental knowledge from Frodo and his help in broadening our filler horizon can not be praised enough. There is a longstanding interest in our hobby behind it, as the practiced eye that catches details such as bills, pamphlets, etc. with which Frodo illustrates his articles, shows.

And then he goes out and shares it with us. THANKS!!

Many greetings,
Werner

Hello Frodo,

thanks fort he informative and interesting article! Could it be that Lamy 27 (27-33) were built up into the 60s when the Lamy 2000 was already being built? The Lamy Ratio seemed to have been built for a longer time (with steel nib and similar design; it was a popular school filler).
Many greetings,

Peter

The future oriented company has been using its flag ship Lamy 2000 for 43 years, and the ink feeder of the Lamy 27 is also 56 years old now.
The company uses the feeder and nib of the soon to be 30 year old Lamy Safari in many of its models.
:D

This on the topic of historical interest of the company.
Many greetings
Thomas
