BLACKBIRD FOUNTPEN made in USA during War?
Looking for information regarding a Blackbird BCHR Eye-Dropper pen. The barrel imprint is:
Blackbird MT&Co. New York USA - Made in USA during War - is this the 1914-18 War?.
This pen is fitted with a gold nib engraved with a SWAN motif with the following imprint:
BLACKBIRD 'K' 14C-585 ENGLAND. I suspect that this is not original to this particular pen?.

The Blackbird pen company was based in New York City and was active in the early 20th century. They produced a range of pens, including fountain pens, during the First World War (1914-1918). It is possible that the "War" referred to in the barrel imprint is indeed the First World War.
