A flexible pen that is excellent for beginners is the Pilot Parallel. It has a special parallel plate nib that enables variable line lengths based on angle. It has several nib sizes, allowing versatility for various calligraphy types.

I recommend considering the Lamy Safari fountain pen for its ergonomic design, comfortable grip, and versatility in calligraphy fnf styles.
