With tried and tested technology in a wide range of industries SICK sensors have taken productivity and quality to new heights.

Typical tasks in automated production are the detection of visible and non-visible marks, labels, colours, luminescence or forks as well as the precise positioning of parts. SICK offers a diverse spectrum of contrast, markless, colour, luminescence, fork and array sensors to satisfy all of these requirements.

LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) laser measurement technology delivers two or more dimension contour data that can be processed internally or externally. It is particularly suitable for a variety of applications like anti-collision in ports, detection in building automation, classification in traffic or position evaluation in navigation.

High positional accuracy combined with customer programmability and competitive prices is delivered by SICK's DFS60 award-winning series of rugged, IP65 protected, high resolution incremental encoders. The high-speed sensors can be used in a wide range of applications and are designed for industrial environments where long service life is essential.

SICK also has a comprehensive portfolio of opto-electronic safety switches to protect movable physical guards and to determine the position of dangerous movements as well as the safe stop function. This includes electro-mechanical and non-contact safety switches, safety locking devices, and safety command devices.
