Ar+ CO2 combination is extensively used in welding carbon steel as well as low alloy steel. It combines the benefits of Ar gas and CO ₂, producing a stable arc, tiny dash, very easy to acquire axial jet transition, and due to oxidation, it overcome the arc drift and also inadequate weld formation caused by a single Ar gas welding.
