Dear Pelikan Friends,
I'm not sure if this posting belongs to the category "accessories" or not, but…
I was thinking, maybe I'm not the only one to peek in at ebay checking for historical advertisements and packing materials…
Pelicans made of porcelaine of various sizes and colors, old ribbon boxes with different Pelikan logos, ink bottles made by the architect Wolfgang Wagenfeld, etc…Collectibles gather up as time goes by.
How about you? I was just wondering if anyone would like to tell me about his/her collection. Any treasures?

Hallo ins Forum,

Risking that people out there might take me for a totally off my hinges, I must admit I have carried a couple of devotional objects together, too. Of course, the white pelican is among them, like the one on the picture above. But I also have a thing for sheet metal signs. But the cure is already in process in that particular matter. I haven't bought a single sign in the past 2 years. On the other hand, about 20 signs are still hanging on my office wall, of course most of them are replicas of classic Pelikan advertizements (some are from Waterman and other companies, too).
The one thing that might be a little uncommon is a Pelikan sticker for suit or jacket lapels, that were given away in celebration of the 150th birthday of Pelikan.

Hello,
I know the the Pelikan advertizement figurines you are talking about. I've seen them on the internet every once in a while. I know they are availble in different colors. Does anyone know the original colors of the porcelaine pelicans? Until now, I have only seen them in blue and white, but I'm pretty sure they exist in other colors, too.
Thanks in advance!
René
PS: I almost bought one of those...

Hallo René,

Apart from white (the most common color) and the beautiful dark blue one, there are pelican figurines in different pastel colors (blue, yellow, green), turquoise, grey and a shrill neon greenish-yellow. But they are much harder to find. I'm still dreaming of finding the blue bird in big…
These are my two latest acquisitions in this field. (He's still too small to hold a pen)

Hello Linceo,
Thank you for your answer. I guess you live and learn. I've already seen the dark blue and the white ones, but none of the other colors mentioned. I'll keep my eyes open. Oh, and thank God I'm not alone with my collecting habit.

Hello everyone,
Its not much, but we have tie clips, pins and badges that weren't purchased in a famous auction site on the internet. We got them from friends who didn't need them anymore. In the late 70s/early 80s of the past century there also used to be those small pocket books. But as far as I know, they are not about writing instruments or the like. The 20 cent coin is supposed to serve as a size comparison.
Viele Grüße
Günter
