M200-defect?

Hi,

I have a new transparent green Pelikan M200 that has a small cross shaped crack at the very end of the piston knob. The crack is not growing and is not very visible, but is this a defect?

I would call it a defect. If you bought it in a shop, turn it it for an exchange.

Dillon,

Your local Pelikan agent will not be happy with this and will charge you for the repair.
You should try to do the exchange where you bought it. But I doubt that this will be without charge as you have to proof that the pen was broken when he sent it. (Risk of shipping is always with the consignee.)

The piston knob was replaced for free, but I find that the new one also has a crack in the same place the old one had, but in a different shape.

Hi,

The crack is normal and is caused by the injection molding. It is where the plastic is injected into the mould.
